Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. to Acquire Ag. Formulators, Inc/Best Sulfur Products (Phoenix, Arizona, October 8, 2007)— Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI) and Ag. Formulators, Inc. (AFI) announced today they have completed discussions and executed documentation for TKI to acquire essentially all of the assets of Ag. Formulators/ Best Sulfur Products (BSP) based in Fresno, California. “BSP has been a strong influence in the market and TKI has the utmost respect for the people of BSP”, stated Jordan Burns, C.E.O. of TKI. “This purchase will enable TKI to again become a California-based producer, allowing for increased production and improved logistics to better serve the combined customer base within the state and surrounding areas.” Best Sulfur Products began business in 1992 focusing on the contract formulation business and later as a manufacturer of sulfur containing products. Employees of the AFI/BSP organization are looking forward to becoming part of the TKI family with the finalization of the transaction anticipated later this month. Financial details of the acquisition are not available. Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, produces and markets specialty chemical solutions, including fertilizers, soil fumigants and off-patent EPA-regulated chemicals and process chemicals and services to diverse markets in the United States, Mexico, Central and South America and selected countries throughout the world. TKI, a part of the Tessenderlo Group, Brussels, Belgium, has 8 manufacturing plants in North America, in addition to an extensive terminal network.
